Bibimbap on NewYork Times!!!
Ad for Korean authentic dish, Bibimbap
Today, 12/21/09, Bibimbap covered a full page color ad on NYT. This project was done by a professor name Kyung-Duk Seo and Korean reality TV show, Moo-Han Do Juhn team. The title was called, ‘How About BIBIMBAP for Lunch Today?’

The ad talks about the ingredients on this dish and information on restaurants who carry bibimbap on their menu. Most of the Korean restaurants are located on Korean Town (32nd st between 5th or 6th ave). If you live in NYC and you haven’t tried this yet, I recommend you to do so. It is really delicious and nutritious.
You can make this dish at home but it requires a lot of ingredients and time. The good news is that you can always simplify and make your own Bibimbap. Bibimbap only means ‘mixed rice’ so you can mix pretty much any leftover grilled vegitables and ground meat to create this dish. The only ingredient that you must have is the sauce, ‘gochujang’, Korean hot pepper paste & of course rice. To learn about the sauce click on the link.
Maybe it is because I’m Korean but I feel really really proud! One day, I’ll make a simpler version of bibimbap and post it on minimalrecipes.
Have a good one!
